Partnership Recruitment
We are looking to recruit a Partner for a minimum of 5 sessions a week.
Based in beautiful rural South East Shropshire we work from purpose-built premises across two sites caring for 8200 patients. Our primary surgery is in the historic town of Much Wenlock with our branch surgery in nearby Cressage (from which we dispense). Following a recent Partner retirement, we are seeking an enthusiastic colleague to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking team. We are partners in Our Health Partnership, which provides us with stability and resilience at Practice and PCN level.
This post should appeal to GP colleagues who are passionate about holistic patient care, are dedicated to the Primary Care Team, and are able to manage the demands of partnership.
A bit about us:
· A cohesive, enthusiastic and innovative clinical team comprising 4 Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 Healthcare Assistants
· Multiple ARRs including First Contact Physiotherapy, Mental Health, Pharmacy, Social Prescriber
· In-house Community Co-ordinator supporting Carer Connect group and dementia patients
· Co-Co befriending service for the socially isolated
· Supportive Patient Participation Group
· Efficient and supportive management and administrative team
· A thriving dispensary
· Experienced training Practice passionate about Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate education (close links with Keele Medical School since 2003) and mentoring of Pharmacy, ANP and GP Assistant roles
· Consistently high QOF achievement
· CQC rated “Good”
· 15 minute appointments
· EMIS Web, Arden’s, Docman, GP TeamNet, AccuRx (including Triage) and Medlink
· Currently no out of hours or weekend commitments (OOH provided by Shropdoc and Enhanced Access service covered by PCN)
· Additional services including contraception (IUCD) and minor surgery
· Two local residential homes with a weekly GP ward round
· Active encouragement of personal and professional development through external and Practice roles (current areas of interest include palliative care and cancer lead, sports & exercise medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, women’s health, diabetes, teaching &
training) with regular clinical educational meetings
· Direct practice representation on LMC, PCN (CD) and OHP Board
· 7 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave per year with additional extended holiday on a rotational basis
· Tier 2 sponsorship available
