South Hermitage Surgery, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury Salaried GP South Hermitage Surgery are looking a Salaried GP to join us for 6 - 8 sessions per week. We are planning ahead for future retirements and therefore this role has the scope to grow and will be a route to partnership if wanted. We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive Practice who enjoy delivering equitable, patient driven, high quality primary health care. We are located in the leafy suburbs of Shrewsbury with good commuting links and excellent local schools. We have a strong culture of training, teaching/staff development and will actively support and encourage development in any areas of special interest. We are seeking a caring and committed doctor who is able to demonstrate high standards of clinical care and is willing to work as part of a highly motivated team About Us We are traditional average sized training practice of 8,500 patients and growing. We currently have 4 part-time GP Partners and 2 salaried GPs. Our clinical team also includes two Nurse Practitioners, two Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate Apprentice and HCSW. We are welcoming new multi-disciplinary roles into the Practice such as Social Prescribers, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Mental Health Practitioners, and are very active within the Shrewsbury Primary Care Network. We are outgrowing our current premises, and are one of the Practices that will be re-locating to the new Shrewsbury Health & Well Being Hub in 2025. This is a really exciting opportunity to expand the services we can offer our patients, collaborate on projects with other practices locally, and provide a better working environment for our staff. We are a really friendly supportive team, high achieving QoF, with a good reputation locally for high quality care, and a Good overall CQC rating with some areas of Outstanding. Main duties of the Role The sessions required are to include a Monday, but otherwise are flexible. All our GPs, both salaried and Partners have a mixture of routine and on-call sessions, with face to face and telephone appointments. Workflow tasks like repeat prescriptions, documents and lab results are divided fairly between the GPs, as are home visits - although we have access to a Home Visiting Service so these are limited.
